Foundation (Prep) Enrolment

Our school zone is available on Find My School  which hosts the most up-to-date information on school zones in Victoria.
Students residing within our school zone are guaranteed a place at our school, which is determined on the basis of your permanent residential address.
Our school manages enrolments using the Placement Policy to ensure that students have access to their designated neighbourhood school and may enrol at another school, if there are available places.
For more information, you can:
• visit School Zones for answers to frequently asked questions
• call the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) on 1800 896 950
• email the VSBA at vsba@education.vic.gov.au

Foundation (Prep) enrolments
The Department of Education (DE) has a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.
The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Cardinia Primary School
You can find information and resources about the enrolment timeline and procedures at: Enrolling in Foundation (Prep).

Our Transition program for children involves 4 visits to the School, consisting of 3 half days, beginning in August, and a full day in early December. These visits are spread over the last half of the year. Children are paired up with a Senior buddy to assist them throughout the transition process. Sessions are designed to involve children in play based activities and games which help them become familiar with the school environment and staff. We are happy to discuss your child's particular needs early in the transition process, so we can make the transition to school as smooth and successful as possible.

We begin each year with a Parent Teacher meeting and/or Information session which includes an overview of our Curriculum, as well as details of our School events. Throughout the year we hold regular Parent Teacher meetings which give you an opportunity to discuss your child's progress and ask questions about the Foundation program. Emails and notices explaining school events and excursions are sent home regularly, so parents have full details of all school activities. We are also available to talk to Parents before and after school. We welcome parent participation and classroom help at any time throughout the day.

Our School newsletter is published online weekly.
